The Lion in Winter - James Goldman
Only 2 stars. It's such a pity, because the writing is so good. But this sounds like the actors were being told, "Tone it down, not so much emotion." Don't bother to purchase this; watch the Katharine Hepburn movie and Glenn Close versions instead. The words are meant to zing, wound, hurt, heal, confuse, destroy, build up, tear down. This version was disappointingly bland.
